Welcome to the first post in our case study series! Here, we’ll be discussing the ins and outs of some of our most recent projects from both a design and content perspective, to help you understand what goes on behind the scenes when designing professional websites.
Who is Chiro & Integrative Therapies?
Chiro & Integrative Therapies is a Mudgeeraba-based holistic healthcare collective led by principal practitioner and chiropractor Alex Mendieta. The clinic offers a comprehensive menu of allied health services and complementary therapies to empower its clients in achieving their best possible quality of life. Some of the services on offer include chiropractic treatment, massage, craniosacral therapy, dry needling, pilates, reflexology, reiki, yoga, naturopathy, bushflower essences, and yoni steaming.
The challenge
When Chiro & Integrative Therapies first reached out to us in late 2021, they had experienced significant growth as a business since they’d opened the previous year. Although they already had a website, this was quite basic, with only eight simple pages. The original website had been created when the business first opened, initially just offering chiropractic services with the one practitioner. Because the clinic had since grown to have several different therapists offering a more comprehensive range of services, Chiro & Integrative Therapies wanted to update their website to reflect their complete list of new services. They were also looking for a fresher, cleaner look from a design perspective, as well as a full search engine optimisation strategy to get their website in front of more potential clients.
The content
One of the biggest things missing from Chiro & Integrative Therapies’ original website was detailed service pages for each of the alternative therapies and allied healthcare services that they offer. As part of our redevelopment of their website, we created specific landing pages for each service, which answered the who, what, why, and how, along with other frequently asked client questions. Each page also included a call to action, to convert views from potential customers into bookings.
We also developed an ongoing content strategy for Chiro & Integrative Therapies, which centred around the regular publication of SEO-optimised blog posts. These blogs will look at some of the latest news and developments in the health and wellbeing space, as well as the different treatments offered in-clinic.
Finally, we refocused the content to place more emphasis on the skills, expertise, experience, and qualifications of Chiro & Integrative Therapies’ practitioners, and added a testimonials section for some “social proof”. All of these things increase the authority of the business online, which in turn helps to build consumer trust.
The design
As their original website was quite simplistic from a design perspective, Chiro and Integrative Therapies’ request to us was for a cleaner, fresher, more professional look.
Our priority was to make sure that the new website followed modern design trends, whilst still sticking with the clinic’s branding and colour scheme. For the most part, we opted for more subtle shades of purple and light pink (the clinic’s brand colours) throughout the site, with bolder colours reserved for drawing attention to the website’s key focuses.
We also used elements like cards, bold corners, and shadows to add a modern touch.
Here are some before and after images that compare the original design with the new design. Notice the difference?
